Let Your Kids Get Dirty!
I stumbled upon this post earlier this morning and fell in love with it. I am a strong supporter of the local mud pie association and encourage children to learn through their environment.
Children need to be exposed to a variety of natural elements, textures, lessons, colors, and more by manipulating sand, mud, sticks, leaves, and the natural environment Mother Nature provides.
In my years of mommydom, I have seen the clean freaks and the "pigpens" come and go. I fall in between those two sects.
God made children washable for a reason. He also let me have a water hose for easy spray downs.
Read this article today, go outside, and PLAY:

Make a mud pie. Decorate it with stones, leaves, and feathers. Have fun!

We did just that for National Mud Day!
That sounds like my kind of holiday!
