Here is a guest post by a good friend and neighbor. She shared this recipe with me years ago and it's a nice break from the traditional round pies. It's simple and doesn't require the effort other homemade pizza crusts take. Here's Joan's recipe for Bubble Pizza:
This was a recipe that my mother-in-law gave me. The kids absolutely love it plus it is very easy to make.
1-1/2 ground beef
1 (15-oz.) can or jar pizza sauce
2 (7.5-oz.) tubes refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1-1/2 C shredded mozzarella cheese
1 C shredded cheddar cheese
Brown the beef; drain. Stir in pizza sauce. Quarter the biscuits; place in a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Top with beef mixture. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
I have played around with the cheese. When on sale I will buy the shredded four cheese packs (our favorite), or pizza cheese pack.
